Fallout 3/New vegas question?

Fallout 3's story/main quest is more entertaining, but if you said you like to explore more then New Vegas is probably better for you. New Vegas has like almost 3 or 4 times the amount of side quests FO3 had, (look them up on wiki) and exploring was much more enjoyable. In Fallout 3 exploring for the most part just led to nowhere, maybe a tiny church looking thing, a power station, or a crumbled building you can't go into if you're in the DC side. In New Vegas, the map is filled with tiny places you can go, little shacks that have something in them you can sell, and more importantly lots of little settlements that will give you side quests.
