How can me and my friends start out as ghost hunters?

It's just going to be a hobby and we aren't going to spend thousands of dollars, but when we explored the cemetery near my house we had fun. I just need to know what kind of kit or equipment to buy just to start off.Anything to keep in mind when investigating?
