What's your personal response to the poem 'The Manhunt'?

As a poet, I would have to say, this is a man dying yet a nurse trying to heal him. You know its highly depressing. Who wrote these verses? I mean they sound like that date back to WW2, during the a horrifying experience a nurse had to endure. Truly scary. Peace-God bless-Daniel Mapp. Call me Mapp OR The Yank from the U.S. lol
